About Presidential Materials in Databases

This page identifies licensed databases that include presidential materials.  Access is limited to members of the Loyola community and, in some cases, the law school.  Other free Internet resources with presidential materials are identifed under the tab "Web Resources," under Presidential Materials.

Presidential Materials in Databases

The following databases contain presidential documents.  You can find free websites with presidential materials under Presidential Materials under the Web Resources tab.

U.S. Presidential Library
HeinOnline
Available to Loyola community only.
Contains extensive collection of historical presidential materials.

Presidential Documents
Westlaw Id. and password required.
Contains executive and administrative orders, proclamations, trade agreement letters, and other executive documents.  Coverage of executive orders begins in 1936.  Coverage of other documents begins in 1984.

Public Papers of Presidents
Lexis Id. and password required.
Contains Daily Compilation of Presidential Documents and its predecessor The Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents.  Includes presidential statements, remarks, and other materials released by the press secretary.
