Supreme Court Practice & Advocacy: Oral Arguments

The Court's official website provides transcripts of oral arguments on the same day an argument is heard by the Court. Same-day transcripts are considered official but subject to final review. Transcripts are available for the cases argued during the October Term 2000 and subsequent Court Terms.

The Court's official Web site provides audio files of oral arguments before the Court. These audio files are made available to the public at the end of each argument week.
Users may either download the audio files or listen to the recordings on the Court’s Web site. Covers October 2010 to the present.

The Oyez Project is a multimedia archive devoted to the Supreme Court of the United States and its work. It aims to be a complete and authoritative source for all audio recorded in the Court since the installation of a recording system in October 1955. The Project also provides authoritative information on all justices and offers a virtual reality 'tour' of portions of the Supreme Court building, including the chambers of some of the justices.
