This page contains references to Bluebook resources for law journal students. Many of these resources are available in print in the Law Library. Some, like The Bluebook Uncovered are available online. Procertas offers online task-based Bluebook exercises and training. Finally, this Guide provides links to exercises and training materials provided by various LUC law journals.
Proper citation is not merely a requirement, it is a matter of credibility. There are a myriad of resources to assist students with understanding citation form and ensuring that citations are correct. Below are some of the resources (both in print and online) available to LUC law students to accomplish that goal.
Procertas Training
Procertas is a competence-based learning platform focused on assisting students and young professionals in gaining technical fluency in
essential technologies like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PDF. Recently Procertas introduced Bluebook training and assessment modules. These new modules offer quality, competency-based online modules to train and test proficiency in understanding and applying Bluebook citation format.
The Law Library provides Procertas access for all Loyola Law School students, faculty, and staff. Individual login credentials are required for access; to set up your own Procertas account, please contact Joe Mitzenmacher, Reference and Electronic Services Librarian (jmitze1@luc.edu or x5-6844).
