Health Law Research Guide: Web Resources

This guide will help you find primary federal and Illinois health law, supporting information, and discourse related to health law.

Useful, Free Web Sites

There are many free web sites that have good information about healthcare and health law. The information on these sites is accessible by anyone.  Most of the websites on this page are nongovernmental. A list of government websites is available as a drop down window from the Web Resources tab at the top of the page.

Some of the sites linked here may contain additional information that is password protected or fee-based. For example, many libraries do not grant access to the general public to most of their subscription databases. However, there is a lot of information on academic and other webpages which is freely available and may help in your research.

If students see resources on other sites that Loyola does not own, often it is possible to request an interlibrary loan of the materials. Please ask a reference librarian for help.

Think Tanks

Some of the institutes listed here are not limited exclusively to health research, but all have devoted considerable resources to health care issues.
