China (People's Republic)

This guide includes both print and electronic sources.  Call numbers for print materials in the Loyola University Chicago Law Library are included.  Some of the electronic sources are free government and university sites.  Others are commercial products.  Access to some of the electronic resources included in this guide is limited to users who have a valid Loyola ID and password; access to other resources is restricted to the law school community only.

Introduction

The development of the modern Chinese legal system began with the end of the Cultural Revolution in 1978.  Detailed introductions and background information can be found in the following sources which are described more fully under the tabs labeled Books and Web Resources.
